Blistering Sun and Crystal Clear Water
I am a speck of dust slowly strolling across the luscious shores of gorgeous Aruba. I sit in the shade of a large palapa and listen to the chirps of small birds chirping. I open my eyes and stare at the endless mounds of sand. The sand is soft as a baby’s feet and it encases my feet in a blanket of warmth. A fiery yellow sun shimmers on the the surface of the vast open ocean. The water is clear as day and there is no sign of repulsing dark green seaweed. I close my eyes, and breathe in the salty fresh smell of the ocean. A crisp breeze blows of the water and makes the titanic palm trees sway. I walk towards the picturesque ocean. The sand is scorching hot and it turns my feet a bright red with every touch. I watch a wave gracefully cascade to the slanted shore. Slowly I step forth into the halcyon waters, then I put my goggles on and dive. Fishes of red green and blue swim past me. I float there in awe, I had never seen so many fish in my life. The water was as refreshing as a cold glass of lemonade on a sweltering hot day. When I exit the water, I sprint up to a rundown beach bar and order a virgin mango daiquiri. It taste like heaven in a cup. It is cold, sweet, and melts right when it hits my tongue. I am burnt to a crisp by the time I sit back down and rest my eyes. I want this moment to last forever, but all great moments come to an end. I am melancholy, as I drift away in the small black rental car towards the enormous airport.
